Situations were playing out in a less than ideal way. Vulnerable backpackers with little to no direction except for my spurts of intuitive guidance, throwing us in the most counterintuitive path to righteousness. long story short, our plans disintegrated, allowing for an opportunity to be recognized by a cool brazilian fella who just so happened to notice us as the lost-looking backpackers from earlier in the day. he directed us to go see this band play an incredible set in auckland.

"I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another."

One experiences comforts with a new sense of appreciation that causes a deeper level of satisfaction and intimacy with the rapturous experience of being alive.

The first step — especially for young people with energy and drive and talent, but not money — the first step to controlling your world is to control your culture. To model and demonstrate the kind of world you demand to live in. To write the books. Make the music. Shoot the films. Paint the art.
